Internal Medicine
If your pet is suffering from clinical problems that are not obviously surgical they may be treated by our Internal Medicine. These conditions include vomiting, diarrhoea, excessive drinking, malaise, weight loss or gain, anaemia and fever.
Typically, after an initial consultation, a patient will be admitted for further investigation such as physical examination, blood tests, radiographs, ultrasound or cytologic examination.
Veterinarians are the detectives who work to establish a diagnosis. Once we understand your pets illness we can then discuss options and tailor a treatment plan to your pets individual needs. We deal with diseases and disorders involving multiple organ systems such as:
- The gastrointestinal tract and pancreas
- The liver
- The respiratory system
- The endocrine system (hormones)
- The kidneys and urinary tract
- And the blood and circulatory system
